  1. Jeff you should be applauded by everyone for bringing these places to light. I have been in and out of the restaurant business for over 30 years and I can tell you things that will make you sick to your stomach. I can honestly tell you that for every violation the inspectors find there are at least hundred more not found. There are reasons for this are simple, we let Immigrants that come from countries that have little or no health standards like Haiti and other countries. These people sometimes do not even flush toilets and never wash their hands and then they handle our food. I see it all the time!
I am willing to bet that all of the places that get closed down have mostly Immigrants in the kitchens and ownership. If you keep track of that you will find it to be correct. Also a lot of the health inspectors in Broward County also from these countries and do a very poor job and miss many, many violations because they just don’t seem to care!
You really should do a story on the health inspectors and find out what their qualifications are!
